Profile of the Vice-Chancellor

Professor Jeanette Hacket assumed the position of Vice-Chancellor on 12 April 2006. Prior to that she held the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor, which she commenced on 2 August 2004. Professor Hacket has served as Curtin's PVC International and Enterprise from 2002 to 2004, Curtin's Dean of International Programs from 1996 to 2002 and Head of International Student Services in Curtin Business School from 1991 to 1995.

In these roles Professor Hacket has worked extensively in internationalisation, developing educational programs and relationships overseas, and in the development and implementation of quality assurance for international activities.

Professor Hacket is a legal practitioner and has an interest in health law and international law. She holds degrees in Law and Strategic Management. She worked as a legal practitioner and later as a legal academic from 1980 until 1991 in the School of Business Law at Curtin.
